Stonewood TrinityGrove

Project Details

Nineteen Stonewood Architectural Panels were installed on Cypress at Trinity Grove, a multi-use development in Dallas, TX. The three-phase apartment project is located directly across from the popular Trinity Grove restaurant incubator that has revitalized the surrounding neighborhood over the past decade.

The first phase in the project, started in the fall of 2015, includes 352 units and 35,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space. The buildings are designed as four- and five-story wood-frame buildings on concrete podiums wrapping around concrete parking structures, with ground-level retail space where feasible. Stonewood panels were chosen to provide an exterior aesthetic that was consistent with the surrounding single family units and modern restaurant spaces.

Tudor Park Business Plaza is an Anchorage icon from the late 80’s. Although the building had lost its architectural appeal, the location and infrastructure remained viable, so the owner opted for an extensive remodel- focusing primarily on an exterior shell overhaul. Stonewood Architectural Panels were chosen for the exterior design, because of their competitive pricing, fast delivery, easy installation, and extensive design offering.

Over 550 panels and 1,450 planks were installed over 2” insulation and energy efficient fiber glass girts. First, the black aluminum attachment system was installed directly on the fiberglass girts, then Stonewood panels in various colors and sizes adorned the building exterior.

The architect utilized the stylistic benefit of multiple colors and module sizes to give the building a much-needed update.
